Corporate Sailing may be the best team building activity on the planet. Sailing simulates our work environment - constant changes and "unknowns" are thrown at the group, which must adapt to deal with new situations and overcome the challenge. A large part of our corporate sailing adventure involves executive 'team building', but it also creates the opportunity for self and group discovery.
Learning to sail a boat well, on a course or in a fun competition, puts the crew on board in a unique situation. They must learn new skills together as a group - solving problems and working together in a fun and challenging environment. Together in a boat - co-workers must let go of pre-existing relationships and solve problems together - as a team.
Frequent topics of discussion during and after the event are:
What hidden barriers do we all recognize that prevent us from working better together?
How do we maintain this level of cooperation in the office?
Once we clearly understood our roles and each other's roles, everything went much smoother.
Is this why we are having problems with the 'XYZ problem' at the office?
Outcomes:
Working with you through a discovery process, we tailor the event using our wide range of land- and water-based modules to create an experience that will initiate a shift in behaviors that affect your team's performance and your company's bottom line.
We ensure that participants will better understand not only how to better interact as a cohesive group, but also how to translate that knowledge back to work.
Each participant completes an action plan related to specific goals they have set for themselves. Based on this, a daily action plan is created with specific tasks that will generate certain benefits for the person and the organization.
A pleasant and calm sailing or an adventure on a sailing boat based on constructive activities awaits you.
There are too many variables to sharing a common budget. Please contact us, share the details and we'll give you an idea of costs based on your needs.
Just like in a company, adversity can happen in a way and come your way. We will have a contingency plan in place if the weather does not cooperate with the actions. Although, our perception is that we rarely have to apply the contingency plan.
Currently, we do it mostly in the center of the country (Figueira da Foz) but we do it in every port in the world!
Of course not, in fact our greatest breakthroughs occur when the elements have little or no experience with sailing.
No problem, everyone will wear safety gear including buoyancy devices.
